Hijiki is a brown sea vegetable growing wild on rocky coastlines around Japan, Korea, and China.
Hijiki seaweed is usually used as a topping for many Japanese dishes and commonly is served with fish and/or vegetables. Just steep in hot water for a while then remove. Place on top of your favorite Japanese dish. Use it to make sushi, soup, and spring rolls.
Soak desired amount of Hijiki in cold water for 30 minutes. Drain well. Add to soups, salads, meat and vegetable dishes.
