Safflower the yellow orange pigment of an annual herb which are used to flavor and color food as a substitute for saffron, and also used medicinally. Safflower tea has a strong, but pleasant taste, can help soothe your nerves, as well as relax you, strengthening your immunity, facilitates bowel movement, helps lower cholesterol levels and helps control blood sugar. *
To Make Tea: In a warm tea pot put 1tsp safflower, pour a cup of hot water (190-205ºF), steep for 3-5minutes, strain,may sweeten the tea with honey or fruit juice and drink.
