Yerba Mate is the naturally caffeinated leaves & twigs of evergreen rain-forest holly tree. Leaves are gently roasted until they darken, develop a rich, roasted flavor profile. Roasted yerba mate tea is very earthy, delicious, gently energizing herbal tea, high in caffeine.
To make Tea: Fill gourd (mate) 1/3-1/2 with leaves, and rest with tepid water, let the leaves absorb water. Add hot water(160- 180°F-NEVER BOILING), steep for 3-5 min. May flavor using lemon juice, mint, warm milk or burnt sugar. Consumed hot or cold. May refill with water as needed to pass around
